Did a good amount of under-the-hood work converting the input system to unity's "new input system" package, rather than legacy. This will help later on with adding different gamepad support and multiple players.  

Added some canvases with some guidance for players.

Test case for interactability added into game.

Granny now says "Got you!!" and game closes after 5 seconds.
